Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy for this independent Jev learning site: analytics choices, browser storage, embedded X videos, and account data.

Last updated: 2026-09-27

Introduction

Analytics is optional and stays off until you allow it. The cost calculator runs locally in your browser. X video embeds, however, contact X when they approach the visible area, independently of your analytics choice.

This Privacy Policy covers jevaiplayground.com, an independent learning site with Jev guides, a cost calculator, simulated examples, and links to third-party demonstrations. It does not cover TypeSafe’s API or Console. Visiting our public learning pages does not require a site account or a TypeSafe API key. See our Terms of Service for the scope of the service.

Information We Collect

Different features involve different information:

  1. Public tools — The cost calculator calculates from your token and request counts in your browser; its calculation does not call the TypeSafe API.
  2. Optional analytics — After you allow analytics, Google Analytics receives visit information as described below.
  3. Browser preferences — Your analytics choice is stored in local storage under jev-analytics-consent. Language and display preferences may also use browser storage or cookies.
  4. Optional site accounts and support — If you use account features, we process the profile information you provide and the messages or attachments you submit through support. Login sessions use authentication cookies. A site account is separate from a TypeSafe account.
  5. Website delivery — Hosting infrastructure processes request information needed to serve and secure the site, which may include an IP address and browser request headers. This is separate from optional Google Analytics.

How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service.
  • Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages.
  • Respond to your questions, feedback, and support requests.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud and abuse.

Website analytics

We load Google Analytics only after you choose “Allow analytics”. It helps us understand page visits, traffic sources, and how pages are used. Google Analytics may use cookies and receive usage information such as page URLs, referrers, browser, and device details. We do not intentionally send names or email addresses to it.

You can change your choice at any time using “Analytics preferences” in the page footer. If you decline or withdraw consent, this site will not load Google Analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites.

Withdrawing a previously accepted choice reloads the page to stop the previously loaded analytics tag. It does not automatically delete information already received by Google or existing analytics cookies. Clearing site data removes the saved preference, so you may see the choice again on your next visit.

Embedded videos and external websites

The case library uses X’s embedded posts. When an embed approaches the visible area, your browser loads X’s widget and contacts X’s services. Those requests can expose your IP address, browser information, and information handled under X’s own policy. We request X’s do-not-track widget option, but it is not a guarantee that X receives no data. Video embeds load separately from the Google Analytics choice.

Opening an original post or TypeSafe link takes you to another provider whose privacy rules apply. Review X’s Privacy Policy and TypeSafe’s legal documents before sharing information with those services. Do not put passwords, API keys, or sensitive customer records into public demonstrations or support attachments.

Storage and retention

The saved analytics choice has no automatic expiry in our consent implementation; it remains until you change it or clear browser storage. Hosting logs, account information, and analytics data have different purposes and storage systems. This policy does not claim a single retention period or zero retention for all of them. Deleting browser storage does not delete server-side account records or third-party records.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these limited cases:

  • With service providers as needed to operate the features described above, subject to their applicable terms and privacy policies.
  • To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
  • To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.

Data Security

The site uses HTTPS, and account features require authentication. No method of Internet transmission or storage is completely secure. Keep account credentials private and avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.

Your Rights

You can change analytics preferences without an account. If you have a site account, use profile settings to manage available profile fields and support tickets for questions about account information or a data request. Available rights and any exceptions depend on the law that applies to you; this page does not promise that browser controls alone delete every record.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending a notice through the service.

Existing site account holders can use support tickets for privacy questions. The support area requires sign-in. For data held by X, Google, or TypeSafe, use that provider’s privacy channels; this site cannot manage those accounts or erase their records.
