Jev’s $5 starter credit and signup status

TypeSafe announced on September 20, 2026 that it had removed Jev’s waitlist, and said new accounts would start with $5 in credit, roughly 120 million input tokens. That access announcement is no longer current: on September 22, TypeSafe temporarily paused new Jev signups, while existing accounts continued to work. As of September 24, 2026, do not assume you can immediately create an account or claim the credit; check the official Console for the live status.

Current official pricing

According to TypeSafe’s official model documentation, Jev 1.13 costs $42 per billion input tokens, or $0.042 per million input tokens. Output tokens are free. At that rate, $5 corresponds to about 119 million input tokens before rounding. Use our Jev cost calculator to estimate your own workload; the calculation does not mean a new account can currently claim the $5 credit.

The free credit is useful because Jev requests often contain many questions about one shared state. The exact number of calls depends on the length of your state and questions, not merely the number of decisions returned.

How to start

If you already have an account:

1. Open the TypeSafe API Console and sign in.
2. Open the official Playground.
3. Paste text into the state field.
4. Add one Noul, Choice, or Score question.

If you do not have an account, check TypeSafe’s signup pause announcement and wait for an official reopening rather than relying on the older open-access post.

Start with a real decision from your workflow. A support ticket, product review, agent trace, or document excerpt is more useful than a vague demo prompt.
