Jev is now open: what the $5 free credit actually covers

Jev is now available to everyone
TypeSafe announced on September 21, 2026 that Jev no longer requires a waitlist. New users can sign in at the official API Console and currently start with $5 in credit, which TypeSafe describes as roughly 120 million input tokens.
Current official pricing
The Jev 1.13 model costs $42 per billion input tokens, or $0.042 per million input tokens. Output tokens are free. At that price, $5 corresponds to about 119 million input tokens before rounding.
The free credit is useful because Jev requests often contain many questions about one shared state. The exact number of calls depends on the length of your state and questions, not merely the number of decisions returned.
How to start
- Open the TypeSafe API Console.
- Sign in with Google or email.
- Open the official Playground.
- Paste text into the state field.
- Add one Noul, Choice, or Score question.
Start with a real decision from your workflow. A support ticket, product review, agent trace, or document excerpt is more useful than a vague demo prompt.
